This is an excellent TED talk by Blaise Aguera y Arcas demo-ing some new augmented-reality mapping technology from Microsoft. Besides being a great map innovation as well as a good example of crowd sourcing tech mashup in action, he also shows the perils of a live broadcast, something technology can’t solve just yet.
Surrounded by bills, statements and documents, dizzy with the effort of trying to keep track of payment dates, passwords and usernames the idea for GetitKeepit was born. I had paper bills I never opened, forgotten and abandoned online accounts, a constant stream of money leaving my bank account to pay bills I’d never seen and no way to stay on top of it all.
Filled with frustration and a constant nagging feeling that there must be a better way to manage my bills and understand exactly where my money was going every month, a plan was hatched.
Three years later we’re very excited to announce the launch of GetitKeepit. GetitKeepit lets you manage your bills, your way. We want to help people manage all their bills and important documents in a way that makes life a little simpler and a little easier. And best of all it’s free. Try it for yourself now.
We have been working towards this day for over 3 years now and I am delighted that we are today launching our free service to help you manage your bills on your terms. We are very proud of our work so far on GetitKeepit and we hope you will find it useful and enjoyable. It’s still a work in progress and we need your help and your feedback to understand what you’d like to see, where we can improve and what we can do to make your life a little simpler. Please let us know what you think.
We need your help to spread the word about GetitKeepit so if you like it please tweet about us and tell your friends about us, and of course if there’s something you don’t like please tell us.
